I will love you

I will love you as a clown loves a silver-framed mirror,
I will love you as a nimble and devious fox loves a sheep shearer.

I will love you as a crocodile fossil loves a mutation,
I will love you as a lustful kiss loves a teeming subway station.

I will love you as a tangled marionette loves the puppet master,
I will love you as an orphan loves an unmitigated disaster.

I will love you as a silent prayer loves a trembling amen,
I will love you as a ruminating poet loves a dry fountain pen.

I will love you as a lofty snapping twig loves a clumsy monkey,
I will love you as a flower dance loves a funky donkey.

I will love you as a stomach stuffed with fudge loves a bar of soap,
I will love you as a sumptuous and splendiferous pope loves the pope.

I will love you as a scavenging pirate loves a shipwreck,
I will love you as an ambrosial perfume loves an alabaster neck.

I will love you as a circumspect centipede loves to stumble,
I will love you as a mellifluous siren loves to mumble.

I will love you as a rheumatic knee loves a pew,
I will love you as a butterfly in a bathroom loves the color blue.

I will love you as a lump of clay loves an impeccable sphere,
I will love you as a straight man loves a flamboyant queer.

I will love you as a tyrannical regime loves an egregious constabulary,
I will love you as a pleonastic sesquipedalian prose buff loves a vocabulary.

I will love you as a Jehovah’s Witness loves a Christmas,
I will love you as swash, spume, ripple, and billow love an isthmus.
